About the Altair voice
One of the 21 flagship voices xAI added to the Grok Voice API in July 2026.
Altair is one of the 23 voices xAI added when it expanded the Grok Voice API lineup, so you will not find it in the Grok app's voice picker; it is API-only. We suggest trying it first for customer support, IVR, but every Grok voice handles every kind of text; the samples above let you judge in seconds.
