About Grok Text to Speech

Grok Text to Speech is a small, free web tool: type text, pick one of the 28 Grok voices, play it, download the MP3. It exists because the only official way to try xAI's voices is to open a developer account, and most people who search for "Grok text to speech" just want to hear a voice read something.

Not an xAI product

This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by xAI. "Grok" and "xAI" are trademarks of their owners and are used here only to describe what the tool connects to. The official product pages are x.ai/api/voice and docs.x.ai.

How it works

Your text goes from your browser to a small Cloudflare function we run. The function sends it to xAI's Grok text to speech model through Cloudflare Workers AI and streams the audio back. We pay per character for every generation, which is why the tool has fair-use caps (1,000 characters per request, 20 generations an hour, 10,000 characters a day per visitor). Nothing you type is stored or logged; see the privacy policy.

Accuracy

Facts about models, prices and limits on the guide pages are taken from xAI's documentation and announcements, and each page shows the date they were last checked. xAI changes things; if a number here disagrees with xAI's own page, trust xAI's page and tell us.
